Join us on Thursday, May 8, 4:30pm-6:30pm to learn more about the Girl Scout Robotics Troop. All girls are welcome. New robotics teams for girls in grades 4-8 will be forming in August 2025.

Girls who are not currently registered in a Girl Scout Troop will be asked to join the Special Interest Robotics Troop through Girl Scouts of Northern California. If girls are interested in also joining a traditional troop, we can help you with that too! Scholarships for membership registration are always available. Register here for the Open House, or just drop in between 4:30pm-6:30pm.
Are you an adult that is interested in helping to guide girls in learning about Robotics? We can always use new coaches to help facilitate a team. Adult volunteers will be asked to register as a member of Girl Scouts of Northern California and complete a background check (fingerprint method). Additional online training for volunteers will be required. You don’t need to be an engineer or have a background in science, just a love of learning and be willing to encourage the girls to research solutions. Want to know more about coaching with VEX? Visit the VEX website and learn more about VEX IQ (Grades 4-6) and VEX V5 (Grades 7-8): Becoming a VEX Coach
Contact Darcy at SonomaGirlScouts@gmail.com if you have more questions.

If your daughter is interested in joining Girl Scouts, please come to one of these two events in October:
Girls who would like to walk at the front of the Sonoma 4th of July Parade are invited to join the Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Venturing Crew this year. Meet at the front of the parade on 1st Street East by 9:15AM. Elizabeth Stevenson will be your contact. Please check in with her and she will let you know where to meet your daughter at the end of the parade. Note that the parade route is slightly different this year.
