Girl Scouts received 2nd place in the Youth Category in the 4th of July Parade! Way to go girls!
Troop 10141 has earned their Bronze Award (the highest award that can be earned by a Junior Girl Scout) for their Anti-Bullying project. Troop 10141 completed a project that involved researching, designing and distributing an anti-bullying magazine designed for kids in grades K-6th. The girls wrote the articles, designed fun informative games and created all the artwork in the magazine. A digital copy of the magazine can be seen here: ABCMagazine
The girls hosted a Scout Shout event on September 30th where they invited all of the Sonoma Girl Scouts to participate in Friendship and Anti-Bullying activities. The girls in attendance took a handprint pledge against bullying and helped create a friendship chain of paper dolls. The handprints, dolls and a hard copy of the magazine are currently on display at the Sonoma Valley Library.
Girl Scouts made a beautiful float for the Vintage Festival Lighted Parade on Saturday Night. “A Girl Scout Garden, where Girl’s Grow Strong” was the theme.

Want to walk with our amazing Girl Scout Float in the 4th of July Parade? Meet at 9:30am on July 4th at the Little League Parking lot up on 1st Street East. Girls should wear either their Day Camp T-shirt, or full uniform (Sash/Vest, white polo style shirt, and khaki shorts, skirt or pants). We’ll have special jobs for everyone! Girls will be needed to carry signs that highlight the fun things we do in Girl Scouts, or to pass out flyers (maybe with a treat attached!) to the girls and families along the parade route. Parents, please do not drop off your daughter at the parade area, but make sure she is being supervised before, during and after by an adult that will remain with the float and walk the route.
Participation patch will be awarded to everyone who walks with our parade float!
Congratulations to all the girls that participated in the Vintage Festival Parade with the Sonoma Girl Scouts.
Great job with the color guard and we are proud of the girls who braved the rainy skies to show their Girl Scout Spirit! Watch for the Girl Scouts in the parade on October 9th in Glen Ellen!
